From May 15, passengers can use public transport without having to wear face masks; apart from that, passengers will once again be able to use buttons to open vehicle doors
Effective from May 15, passengers using the public transportation services provided by "Rīgas satiksme" will no longer have to wear protective masks to cover their mouths and noses. Passengers are also asked to open vehicle doors themselves using door opening buttons.
Committed to ensuring safety for everyone, "Rīgas satiksme" is going to continue regular vehicle ventilation at route terminals. All vehicles will also undergo disinfection upon return to a park or depot.
From May 15, door opening buttons allowing passengers to open vehicle doors will be operational again. Of course, drivers will keep on controlling the door opening process and open the required door should a passenger fail to do so.
